The Village Wheelwright and Carpenter (Shire album)
By Jocelyn Bailey.
Description
Within living memory the village was very much a self-contained community, relying on its own inhabitants to provide almost all the services required for the daily life of the people. A most important figure would be the village wheelwright and carpenter. Few such men are still in business today, but this book pays tribute to the great skill of these craftsmen, to their pride of workmanship, and to their versatility. - from Amzon
