On Thursday, June 4, 1981, the Forty-eighth General Assembly adopted the recommendation of Advisory Committee 9 that the Rev. Charles G. Dennison be appointed as Historian of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Ordained in 1972 in the Presbytery of New Jersey, Dennison served as pastor of Fairfield Church, Independent (1972-76) and Grace OPC, Sewickley (1976-99).
